Dr Kevin Moriarty of 1414 Degrees (14D) is set to step down from his role as Executive Chair after serving in the position for five years.
Dr Moriarty is set to serve in the position for another three months and will remain a non-executive director of the company thereafter.
In his stead, the 14D board appointed Tony Sacre as an independent, non-executive Director and as interim Chair of the Board of Directors.
The new appointment also sits on the Allinial Global – Asia Pacific board and was previously chief executive officer of the Sydney Stock Exchange.
Mr Sacre said he was looking forward to working with the energy storage solutions company.
“I have a deep interest in energy markets and am passionate about creating strong governance structures which enable firms to work collaboratively to achieve their goals,” he said.
14D said the interim Chair position was set to be reviewed by the board as the company addressed its ongoing governance and management structures.
In the wake of Dr Moriarty’s resignation and in the absence of its Managing Director Jamie Summons the Board has appointed the Company’s Chief Operations Officer Dr Jordan Parham to the role of Acting Chief Executive Officer.
