8common (8CO) has signed a further five Federal Government agencies up to its platform Expense8.

Expense8 is essentially a leading end-to-end travel expense management software.

The five agencies who’ve been signed up are covered under the Service Delivery Office (SDO) of the Department of Finance.

They include the Fair Work Ombudsman, Safe Work Australia, Australian Skills Quality Authority, Australian Public Service Commission and the Australian Building and Construction Commission.

Implementation across these agencies is expected to occur in the first half of the 2021 financial year.

8common said its exposure to the Federal Government was fast-tracked by the shared services agreements with the Department of Finance and the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science.

The company now provides its platform to 27 Federal Government entities and over 17,000 users.

Additionally, the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Saftey Agency has signed a three-year contract with the company worth $152,000 (excluding GST).

“We are pleased to announce the addition of six new Federal Government entities, five of which are part of the SDO of the Department of Finance, as we continue to partner with government and execute on the shared services program,” 8common CEO Andrew Bond said.

“We continue to see a strong pipeline of growth during the start of FY21 and we look forward to updating the market on our results for FY20 shortly and providing further updates on our CardHero product in due course,” he added.

The company ended the day up 11.9 per cent with shares trading for 9.4 cents per share on August 26.
