Latin Resources (LRS) has received positive results from recent first pass sampling conducted at the Noombenberry Project in Western Australia.

Results were prepared by independent expert First Test Minerals, a U.K. based kaolin and halloysite specialist.

A series of four kaolin tic samples were collected from Noombenberry and were sent to First Test Minerals in the U.K. for determination of kaolin and halloysite clay content, quality, and sales potential.

Testing was conducted via scanning electron microscopy (SEM) to identify halloysite occurrence in samples.

A total of 13 samples were taken from the Noombenberry project site which exhibits outcropping across an area of approximately 50 square kilometres.

Results have confirmed the prospectivity of the project area and show the best results were taken from three metres below ground level.

Samples from Location 4 delivered high-grade kaoline results, up to 15 per cent halloysite by weight, up to 38.9 per cent kaolinite by weight.

Location 3 saw over 68 per cent kaolinite and Location 1 had over 44 per cent kaolinite.

These grades are very encouraging, and Latin remains confident to explore the Noombenberry further through a deeper and expanded drill program with assistance from First Test Minerals.

Once it is granted an exploration lease, Latin Resources will pursue an aggressive drilling program to test the deeper zones of the surface profile to test for commercial qualities of kalonitic and halloysite material.

“We are pleased to have achieved our aims in this testing exercise, those aims being to identify high-grade kaolinite and the occurrence of halloysite at Noombenberry and to identify the best locations for further drill programs,” Managing Director Chris Gale commented.

“With hungry global markets for high-grade kaolin and a developing market for halloysite, we believe we have a potentially valuable project here at Noombenberry that we are keen to evaluate carefully and thoroughly in 2020,” he added.

Latin Resources is down 20 per cent today, with shares selling for 0.4 cents each at 2:03 pm AEST.
