Gold and base metals explorer Auris Minerals (AUR) has received significant gold results from aircore (AC) drilling at Morck Well.

The AC drilling was completed by Auris’ joint venture (JV) partner Sandfire Resources (SFR).

The Morck Well JV is located approximately 22 kilometres southwest of Sandfire’s DeGrussa Copper Mine in Western Australia.

Upon the completion of a feasibility study, Sandfire has the right to earn 70 per cent interest in the project.

Sandfire’s AC drilling program at Morck Well began on March 1 2020, with a total of 135 holes, for 11,627 metres, planned.

So far results have only been received for 32 of the completed holes.

Significant results include 10 metres at 3.55g/t gold from 45 metres, five metres at 1.46g/t gold from 45 metres, and 10 metres at 1.41g/t gold from 74 metres.

These results are associated with pyrite-bearing metamorphic rock veining and are hosted in magnesium iron rocks.

These significant results are very encouraging and support a follow-up drilling program of more AC and deeper reverse circulation drilling to test the results at depth.

AC drilling is continuing at Morck Well and the geological interpretation will be updated as exploration continues.

Data obtained from this will be used to outline further targets for future drilling programs.

At market close, Auris is up 21.4 per cent and shares are trading for 1.7 cents each, while Sandfire is up a slight 3.45 per cent and trading for $3.22.
