Manas Resources (MSR) has received positive results from regional soil sampling conducted at the Bouaké North permit which is part of the Eburnea Gold Project.

Background

The Eburnea Gold Project is located in central-northeast Côte d’Ivoire, 30 kilometres northwest of the city of Bouaké and approximately 290 kilometres north of Abidjan.

The Bouaké North permit, also called “Permit PR575”, was granted in February this year. The permit covers a 385 square kilometre area and lies within the highly prospective Oume-Fetekro greenstone belt. Situated under the permit are Birmian granitoid-greenstone lithologies.

Manas currently holds an 80 per cent interest in the permit but can increase this to 90 per cent by solely funding exploration and meeting minimum annual expenditure commitments from local partner, Eburnea Gold Resources SARL.

The results

A total of 1600 sites were sampled on a 500 metre-by-500 metre spaced grid. All collected samples were analysed by multi-element ICP.

A total of 23 of the samples assayed over 100 parts per billion (ppb) gold. The peak response was 4.19g/t gold.

Manas identified five large anomalies, two of which are each roughly six kilometres long.

The three main anomalies follow strong northeast-southwest trending magnetic-structural lineaments.

The newly discovered anomalies have a gold-silver-bismuth-copper-iron-molybdenum geochemical association. Further, all anomalies are closely associated with volcanic units with intermediate intrusive bodies.

Manas plans to undertake further exploration work, including IP surveys and auger drilling, once the seasonal rain finishes around October.

Company shares are currently trading flat at 0.5 cents each at 3:27 pm AEST.
