Resolution Minerals (RML) has announced results from a ground-based geophysical survey conducted at the Boundary prospect within the Pogo Trend.

The Pogo Trend is situated within the 64North Project in Alaska. The trend contains Northern Star Resources’ (NST) 10-million ounce Pogo gold mine and Goodpaster prospect, as well as Tectonic Metals’ Tibbs project.

Historic surface geochemistry at Boundary includes a broad gold soil anomaly of more than 100 parts per billion, which is marked by multiple high-grade rock chips grading up to 24.85g/t gold.

The main aim of the survey was to confirm historic mineralised drill intersections could be detected using the controlled source audio-frequency magnetotelluric (CSAMT) method. The second aim was to determine potential extensions to gold mineralisation for drilling over the next few months.

Pleasingly, the survey work identified an anomaly at depth beneath a historical drill hole. The large anomaly extends and shallows to the west.

The CSAMT survey also defined a second target over a large 2.2-kilometre-by-1.5-kilometre, northwest-trending, gently northeast-dipping anomaly that lies less than 900 metres to the southwest.

The anomaly appears to neighbour multiple CSAMT lines, with the top of the anomaly expressing a depth range from 0 to 500 metres.

“Identification of new drill targets and extensions of historic prospects using modern geophysics demonstrates the Camp Scale potential for the region and how highly prospective and underexplored the 64North Project remains,” Managing Director Duncan Chessell said.

Survey results were followed up with detailed structural mapping and surface geochemical sampling that focused on areas for potential anomalies.

Assay results are expected in October and will be combined with CSAMT results and structural mapping to refine drilling targets.

Company shares last traded 3.92 per cent higher for 5.3 cents at 12:51 pm AEST.
