ActivEX (AIV) has reported the results of some major exploration work taken on across its Gilberton and Ravenswood gold projects.

The work done was a mixture of survey work, structural interpretation, mapping, and rock chip sampling to help the explorer develop its Queensland projects.

Gilberton

At its Gilberton project in northeast Queensland, ActivEX has finished an 8599-kilometre airborne geophysical survey following a one-to-50,000 scale litho-structural interpretation.

This survey followed an airborne magnetic and radiometric survey carried out by Thomson Aviation in the area and a geophysical review of historic data from Gilberton.

In light of this, ActivEX has outlined 87 targets, of which 17 have been dedicated as high-priority.

The company said it will likely review available geochemical and drilling information from the targets to either further validate or change their priority order.

Ravenswood

As for Ravenswood, which is also in northeast Queensland, the King Solomon to Rose of Allandale area was mapped on a one-to-2000 scale.

As part of the mapping program, ActivEX collection 55 rock chip samples from the area for testing.

According to the company, 20 rock chips exceeded 0.1 parts per million (ppm) of gold and 13 samples exceeded one gram per tonne of gold.

ActivEX also took on a rock chip sampling program at Pinnacle Creek zone in the project area. The best chip returned results of 304 ppm gold, 110 ppm silver, 0.62 per cent lead, 149.5 ppm arsenic, 717 ppm copper, and 0.13 per cent zinc.

The company said the purpose of this sampling program was to assess the distribution of veins in the project area. It now plans to take on further work to further evaluate a 400-metre-by-200-metre zone outlined by the sampling work.

Shares in ActivEX traded sideways closing, closing grey and worth 12 cents each. The company has a $21.26 million market cap.
