Aeris Resources (AIS) has intersected a 26.2-metre interval containing dispersed sulphides in hole TAKD003 at the Constellation deposit.

This interval was intersected from 234.5 metres downhole and includes an 8.2-metre interval of massive pyrite bands with visible chalcopyrite.

Constellation lies within the Tritton tenement package, which is situated in NSW and covers 2160 square kilometres of highly prospective ground.

Hole TAKD003 was designed to test the electromagnetic (EM) sulphide plate 80 metres down-dip from the 18.8-metre thick sulphide horizon intersected in hole TAKD001.

Samples from TAKD003 have been sent to the laboratory for analysis with results expected to be returned early next year.

A downhole EM survey will then be undertaken at hole TAKD003 in early January to aid in drill hole targeting.

“Confirmation that the sulphide body at Constellation continues down dip is an important development in the evolving story of this new deposit,” Executive Chairman Andrew Labuschagne said.

“Continuity of mineralisation at depth is a characteristic common with the other deposits discovered on the Tritton tenement package,” he added.

Hole TAKD004 will begin being drilled today and will target 80 metres along strike from TAKD001.

Aeris is now seeking approval to undertake additional drilling beyond the currently approved six hole program.

Applications have been sent to the New South Wales Mining, Exploration and Geoscience department with Aeris estimating that approvals will be in place early 2021.

Aeris is up 5 per cent on the market and shares are trading at 8.4 cents at 12:20 pm AEDT.
