Agrimin (AMN) has awarded Primero Group the front-end engineering design (FEED) contract for its process plant and associated non-process infrastructure at the Mackay Potash Project in Western Australia.

AMN initially appointed Primero, a subsidiary of NRW Holdings, in July 2019 on an early contractor involvement basis to complete a definitive feasibility study (DFS) and engineering design for the plant.

The appointment followed a competitive process to select a suitably qualified contractor to complete the design work and subsequent construction of the plant.

Given the completion of the DFS and a recent independent technical review, Agrimin has now appointed Primero to commence the FEED phase.

Novopro Projects is set to support these works and will continue in its role as process consultant.

At completion, Primero is poised to deliver an engineering, procurement and construction contract, inclusive of performance guarantees, to support a final investment decision.

Following the announcement, Agrimin shares are 0.98 per cent higher, trading at 51.5 cents at 1:15 pm AEST.
