Alice Queen has received encouraging results from its soil and rock chip geochemical sampling program at Horn Island.

These results come under the recently formed joint venture with St Barbara in which was formed in June 2019.

The recently completed soil and rock chip program targeted the area northwest of the Horn Island Mineral Resource and returned gold and multi-element assays.

In total, 407 soil samples were completed on 23 northeast orientated lines spaced 100 metres apart with samples collected at 50-metre spacings.

The survey covered an approximate 1.8-kilometre strike of interpreted northwest-trending localised alteration and quartz sulphide veining.

A maximum assay result of 215g/t gold was returned from rock chip sampling with 14 of the samples returning results greater than 1g/t gold and a maximum assay result of 2.31g/t gold was returned from soil sampling with 21 samples returning results greater than 0.1g/t gold.

A review of the multi-element analyses indicates that anomalous gold in surface samples is associated with enriched lead, zinc, silver, arsenic and antimony.

The rock chip results, in conjunction with previous historic sampling results, are encouraging and continue to improve the productivity of the area located northwest of the Horn Island Mineral Resource.

The area will be further tested by the ongoing ground dipole-dipole induced polarisation (DDIP) survey program.

This DDIP survey is well underway and is expected to be completed by the end of December 2019.

The main aim is to identify near-surface to deeply occurring chargeability anomalies which may be caused by sulphide minerals associated with gold mineralisation.

Once completed, the results from both the geochemical and geophysical surveys will be interpreted in conjunction with existing exploration data to develop rank targets for future exploration programs.

Alice Queen has ended the day 7.14 per cent with shares trading for 3 cents apiece in a $22.34 million cap.
