  • Ardea Resources is up 5.38 per cent and shares are trading at 49 cents each

Ardea Resources (ARL) has appointed its current CEO, Andrew Penkethman, as the new Managing Director.

Mr Penkethman will step into the role immediately and will now hold dual responsibilities as CEO and Managing Director.

Andrew joined the company as CEO in April 2019 and led it through the Godolphin Resources spin-out, assumed responsibility for the Goongarrie Nickel Cobalt project and advanced Ardea’s gold and base metal assets in WA.

As a result of his appointment, Executive Chair Ms Katina Law will step back into a Non-Executive role.

“Since his appointment as CEO, Andrew has made a positive impact on Ardea as an effective leader and team player,” Katina said.

“He is the ideal person to lead Ardea into the future and the Board welcomes him and looks forward to his ongoing contributions,” she added.

Andrew has over 25 years of experience in the resources industry. His technical skills include project evaluation, early stage and near mine exploration, resource development, feasibility study management, permitting, stake holder engagement and mine development in Australia and internationally.

He has over 14 years in leadership roles with a strong focus on strategic partner and joint venture processes, financial modelling, project acquisitions and divestment.

Ardea Resources is up 5.38 per cent and shares are trading at 49 cents each at 2:13 pm AEDT.
