Argent Minerals (ARD) has intersected up to 27.94 grams of gold per tonne (g/t) from the Pine Ridge Gold Prospect.

Pine Ridge lies in the Central Tablelands in New South Wales (NSW), roughly 65 kilometres south of Bathurst and 10 kilometres southwest of Trunkey.

Mining began in 1877 and continued until 1948, with 6864 tonnes of ore with variable gold grades mined.

A total of 16 reverse circulation (RC) holes, for 1918 metres, were drilled to infill and extend historical drilling.

Best new results include six metres at 10.52g/t gold from 60 metres including two metres at 27.94g/t gold from 62 metres; and six metres at 3.67g/t gold from 64 metres including one metre at 12.50g/t gold from 68 metres.

Managing Director George Karageorge is pleased with the new results received.

“We are very pleased and excited to have received another batch of significant gold assay results from the second phase of drilling over Pine Ridge,” Mr Karageorge commented.

“We are confident the project will deliver more gold mineralisation with the view of commencing the first independent maiden JORC Resource estimation once the remaining drilling program is completed in September.”

A further five holes are expected to be drilled in September and October.

Argent has ended the day in the grey with shares trading at 2.9 cents in a $25.42 million market cap.
