Auric Mining (AWJ) has completed reverse circulation (RC), aircore drilling and soil sampling over the Widgiemooltha Gold and Spargoville projects in WA.

Results for the program have been released as they have been received, with the majority of the RC drilling results already reported on.

As part of the aircore drilling program, Auric drilled 198 holes, for 7769 metres to test large areas beneath extensibe surficial cover.

Soil sampling was then undertaken to complement the aircore drilling where the cover was lest effective.

Aircore drilling

Samples from the aircore drilling program was assayed for gold with the bottom of hole samples analysed for 32 other elements.

Background gold concentrations were less than eight parts per billion (ppb) and anything more than 10ppb is considered anomalous.

Bottom-of-hole gold anomalism was identified in the northern area and mapping outlines it relates to lithological contacts.

Further aircore drilling will be undertaken to target and better define the anomalies.

Soil sampling

Soil sampling was undertaken to complement extensive sampling previously undertaken by Mincor Resources (MCR) and Neometals (NMT).

Two of the four soil sampling areas returned encouraging results with samples taken at 40 metre spacings along 100 metre spaced lines.

This sampling supports the preliminary interpretation that the gold anomalism is associated with ultramafics and basalts.

Auris has ended the day in the grey with shares trading at 4.9 cents in a $23.35 million market cap.
