Aurumin (AUN) has completed reverse circulation (RC) drilling and begun diamond drilling at its Central Sandstone gold project in Western Australia.
Drilling began in early May with nine RC holes, for 1245 metres, drilled on the Shillington BIF deposit and five RC pre-collars were drilled at the Two Mile Hill Tonalite.
The aim of this drilling was to test depth extensions at Two Mile Hill and test the down plunge position of the high-grade core at Shillington.
Diamond drilling is now underway at the Two Mile Hill Tonalite with an aim to improve the existing 500,000-ounce gold underground resource.
Drilling will be completed between 250 to 500 metres and Aurumin expects the program to take roughly two weeks to complete.
Upon completion, further logging and sampling will be undertaken.
“We are pleased to have diamond drilling underway at our Central Sandstone Project,” Managing Director Brad Valiukas said.
“We see the Two Mile Hill underground resource as a key part of the project going forward, with the scale to potentially underpin future production and we look forward to the results.”
