AusQuest (AQD) has started drilling at the Gunanya Project in the Paterson region of Western Australia.

Between six and nine reverse circulation (RC) holes will be drilled to test several gold-copper targets and provide an initial test of three magnetic targets to determine their potential to host gold and copper mineralisation.

Drilling is anticipated to take roughly two to three weeks to complete and subject to results, further drilling will be undertaken.

Samples will be sent to Perth for analysis with results expected to be available four weeks after drilling wraps up.

“These are compelling targets based on analogies that we have been able to draw with new discoveries in the Paterson Region from both a gold and copper perspective,” Managing Director Graeme Drew said.

“We are looking forward to reporting on the results at Gunanya as they become available,” he added.

AusQuest has ended the day 7.14 per cent in the green with shares trading for three cents each in an $18.96 million market cap.
