Black Cat Syndicate (BC8) has intersected up to 142g/t gold from Fingals Fortune at the Kal East Gold Project in WA.

The Kal East Gold Project consists of 756 square kilometres of highly prospective tenements and has a mineral resource of 11.8 million tonnes at 2.3g/t gold for 884,000 ounces of gold.

Throughout the March quarter, Black Cat drilled 96 reverse circulation (RC) holes at Fingals Fortune to upgrade the resource.

Black Cat has received results from a further 25 holes with a best result of six metres at 75.57g/t gold from 49 metres, including three metres at 142g/t gold from 50 metres.

Other results include two metres at 19.96g/t gold from 106 metres, three metres at 8.97g/t gold from 111 metres and five metres at 4.69g/t gold from 33 metres.

Black Cat is waiting on results from the remaining 11 holes, which are expected to be reported on in due course.

An update is expected to be released sometime this month.

“The Fingals Fortune deposit hosts pockets of much higher grade material that should provide upside on mining,” Managing Director Gareth Solly said.

“Some of the best intercepts at Fingals Fortune are in the deepest parts of the resource, which support underground mining at the conclusion of surface mining,” he added.

Black Cat is continuing with its drilling program, extending previously reported intercepts and targeting historical areas.

Shares in Black Cat are up 6.04 per cent and trading at 79 cents at 1:45 pm AEST.
