Blackstone Minerals (BSX) has intersected a 9.15-metre wide zone of sulphide mineralisation at the Ban Chang prospect.

Ban Chang is part of the company’s Ta Khoa Nickel-platinum group element (PGE) project in Vietnam.

The company’s maiden three holes have intersected massive sulphide nickel over a strike length of one kilometre and ongoing drilling is continuing to intersect massive sulphide.

This drilling forms part of a campaign that is targeting regional massive sulphide (MSV) to build a resource inventory at Ta Khoa.

The hole that intersected the 9.15-metre zone also intersected 2.35 metres of semi-massive sulphide veins (SMSV) from 61 metres, and 1.85 metres of SMSV from 63.34 metres.

A second drill rig will then follow the geophysics team to test high priority electromagnetic (EM) targets.

“We’re pleased to announce a significant intersection of a 9.15-metre wide zone of nickel sulphide vein mineralisation at Ban Chang, which could have the scale and geometry to be mined as a bulk underground mining scenario,” Managing Director Scott Williamson said.

“We’ll continue to explore Ban Chang’s potential to become a supplementary high-grade feed source to the main Ban Phuc disseminated sulphide orebody, with further holes planned for drilling in this area,” he added.

Blackstone is now continuing with drilling the King Cobra Discovery zone.

Company shares are down a slight 2.94 per cent and are trading for 16.5 cents each at 12:47 pm AEST.
