Recent results from Boab Metals (BML) 75 per cent owned Sorby Hills Lead-Silver-Zinc Project has confirmed high-grade mineralisation.

The Sorby Hills Project lies 50 kilometres from Kununurra in Western Australia and is held in a 75-25 joint venture with Henan Yuguang Gold & Lead.

In late 2021, Boab secured a reverse circulation (RC) drill rig to undertake an infill drilling program at the Beta Deposit and further test the Wildcat Prospect.

All up, 15 RC holes, for 888 metres, were drilled with eight drilled at Beta and seven at Wildcat.

Better results from Beta include 27 metres at 3.47 per cent lead and 37 grams of silver per tonne (g/t) from 35 metres including three metres at 7.04 per cent lead and 95g/t silver from 35 metres.

According to Boab, the results provide further support and confidence to the recently updated mineral resource estimate at Sorby Hills.

Additionally, the results provide support for the inclusion of Beta in the Sorby Hills definitive feasibility study (DFS) mine plan.

At Wildcat, all seven holes intersected mineralisation with a best result of six metres at 5.37 per cent lead and 21g/t silver from 12 metres.

The results from Wildcat have extended the mineralisation envelope and enabled Boab to define a mineralisation target zone.

“The high-grade results from our RC drilling program provide further support for the inclusion of the Beta Deposit in the DFS mine plan,” CEO and Managing Director Simon Noon said.

“We look forward to building on these positive results, and those observed at our exploration prospects, in our next drilling program.”

Shares in Boab were up 3.17 per cent on the market and were trading at 32.5 cents at 12:00 pm AEDT.
