Caprice Resources (CRS) has launched a field work program to further extend the rare earth element (REE) targets at its Mukinbudin project in Western Australia.
The Mukinbudin REE project has become the company’s focal point for the months ahead, located 250 kilometres northeast of Perth.
The company’s latest reconnaissance exploration work at the project delineated a REE anomaly at the QC2 prospect.
The anomaly spans more than 300 metres, with elevated REEs of up to 3761 parts per million (ppm) rare earth oxides and 23.6 per cent heavy rare earth oxides.
An infill and extensional soil sampling program is underway at QC2 to define the full strike and width of the anomaly.
Caprice Managing Director Andrew Muir said the company is stepping up its field work at Mukinbudin to follow up on the promising QC2 results and assess other areas.
“Work to date has highlighted the prospectivity of the ground and we look forward to increasing our knowledge of the project,” he said.
“We will continue to actively explore the project with a view to generating drill targets to test later in the year.”
The company has also planned reconnaissance sampling of multiple other pegmatites and outcrops.
