Carnaby Resources (CNB) has defined a one-kilometre-long gold anomaly within the Palisade Prospect at the Strelley Project in WA.
This anomaly also measures up to 300 metres in width and returned up to 0.4g/t gold.
372 aircore (AC) holes, for 11,167 metres, were drilled at Strelley with aims to target prospective the corridor and identify the regional geochemical and geological footprints.
Work also aimed to target secondary gold anomalism and define broad targets for follow-up drilling programs.
The anomaly at the Palisade prospect is yet to be determined, but reverse circulation (RC) has just been completed and results are pending.
11 RC holes, for 1001 metres, and one diamond hole, for 566 metres, were also drilled at the Tick Hill North Wall and Tick Hill North targets at the Tick Hill Project in Queensland.
Drilling aimed to test high-grade extensions of the open pit and test beneath previous work.
Core has been logged and is in the process of being cut, sampled and submitted for analysis.
“We continue to be encouraged by the geological indicators at both Strelley and Tick Hill. The first pass drill programs are now complete as we await a vast majority of the drill results to come in,” Managing Director Rob Watkins said.
“The delay in receiving assays due to the backlog at the laboratories will now result in further drilling programs commencing early in the new year once all results from the initial drilling program have been received,” he added.
Carnaby has dropped 13.4 per cent on the market and shares are trading at 35.5 cents at 11:28 am AEDT.
