Clean TeQ Water (CNQ) shares have jumped as it accepts a $10 million work order to help build a Townsville water treatment facility.
The order is from the company’s local civil partner A Gabrielli Construction (AGC) for the delivery of 15 megalitres a day recycled water treatment facility at Cleveland purification plant for Townsville City Council.
AGC has received the order from the Townsville City Council for the design and construction of the recycled water treatment facility at Cleveland.
Under this contract, Clean Teq will be responsible for providing the process design, delivery, installation and commissioning of the equipment treating water to Class A for reuse in industry and irrigation.
The use of Class A water for irrigation reduces the demand for portable water as part of Townsville City Council’s integrated water strategy.
Notably, the contract also includes a provision to increase the capacity of the facility to 20 megalitres a day and to further upgrade the treatment technology to reach higher quality effluent.
Clean TeQ has already started with the initial design and noted that the order has specified the price, scope and a delivery date for the third quarter of 2023.
The company aims to finalise and sign the underlying contract with its cilivl partner before August 15.
“We are delighted to support this project and Townsville on implementing its planned recycling facility,” CEO Willwm Vriesendorp said.
“The size and scope of this project signify a major milestone for Clean TeQ Water and further establish Clean TeQ Water as a technology supplier of choice for advanced water treatment and recycling in Australia.”
