Corazon Mining (CZN) has begun the next phase of drilling at the Lynn Lake Nickel-Copper-Cobalt Sulphide Project in Canada.

In this program, Corazon plans to complete approximately 1500 metres of diamond core drilling at high priority targets within the historical Lynn Lake Mining Centre.

Drilling will also be completed at regional targets at the Fraser Lake Complex which is situated five kilometres south of Lynn Lake.

All personnel are currently on-site and the drill rig has been set up on its initial hole.

Drilling will begin this week and is expected to be completed in April.

Lynn Lake Mining Centre

Drilling at Lynn Lake is designed to define additional areas of mineralisation that have the potential to add to the already substantial base.

Recent exploration drilling by Corazon focused on testing the near-surface expressions of historic underground mines which operated continuously for 24 years until 1976.

Drilling in December 2019 was highly successful and delivered multiple high-grade nickel sulphide intersections.

These intersections include 22.6 metres at 2.30 per cent nickel, 0.82 per cent copper and 0.068 per cent cobalt from 24.4 metres, and 4.1 metres at 2.09 per cent nickel, 0.57 per cent copper and 0.073 per cent cobalt from 26.9 metres.

This current phase of drilling will test two orebodies and further define the near-surface resource potential of these targets.

Fraser Lake Complex

Corazon has regularly explored Fraser Lake since December 2016 and believes it has the potential to host significant nickel-copper-cobalt sulphide deposits.

The best results returned to date include 22.6 metres at 0.70 per cent nickel and 0.35 per cent copper from 258 metres, 27 metres at 0.37 per cent nickel and 0.16 per cent copper from 30 metres.

The sulphide textures and style of mineralisation at Fraser Lake are similar to those observed within Lake Lynn.

Results from drilling at both the Lynn Lake Mining Centre and Fraser Lake Complex will be released once they become available.

Corazon has jumped 25 per cent today and shares are trading for 0.3 cents at 12:48 pm AEDT.
