Critical Resources (CRR) has encountered visual spodumene in a further four drill holes at its Mavis Lake lithium project in Ontario, Canada.

A highlight among the results so far was in hole 13, which represents the widest intersection the company has seen to date in its drilling program.

Intersections from the hole include a 23.1-metre interval estimated at 32 per cent spodumene, which is a step-out hole targeting the pegmatite six zone of mineralisation.

Notably, 12 out of 13 holes have intersected spodumene-bearing pegmatite mineralisation.

“The fact that this intersection [hole 13] is at depth, further along strike and importantly a step out hole is significant for the project and very exciting,” Managing Director Alex Biggs said.

“The high-grade visual estimates are particularly intriguing and we’re seeing the fundamentals of Mavis Lake improving all the time. Working towards a JORC compliant resource remains the key focus of the company.”

Due to the success of the inaugural 5000 metre drill program, exploration works on 28 new targets have been identified, including 11 high priority targets.

Critical has now commenced work to extend the drilling program to about 10,000 metres.

Samples from the program have been sent for analysis and are expected in due course.

Shares in Critical Resources opened 6.85 per cent higher this morning at 7.8 cents each.
