Critical Resources (CRR) has announced that another seven step-out holes at its Mavis Lake project have intersected spodumene-bearing pegmatites.

Hole 26 intersected the widest interval of spodumene-bearing pegmatite with a 15-metre zone of 20 per cent fine to large spodumene laths.

Holes 27 and 30 also intersected 20 per cent fine to large spodumene laths over intervals of 9.4 and 3.55 metres, respectively.

Hole 31 intersected 10 per cent fine to large spodumene laths over a 3.3-metre interval, while another two holes intersected less than five per cent spodumene.

In total, 30 of the 32 holes drilled within the Pegmatite 6 zone of the company’s Canada-based project have intersected spodumene-bearing pegmatite.

Managing Director Alex Biggs said it’s a “significant achievement” to have intersected spodumene-bearing mineralisation in 30 of the first 32 holes.

“We are focusing on the Pegmatite 6 zone initially which will form the basis of a JORC compliant resource estimate and next we plan to be testing the strike extent of mineralisation to the east and north towards the Pegmatite 18 occurrence,” he said.

Over 4300 metres have now been drilled across the Mavis Lake lithium project and the project will remain a priority for Critical Resources as it looks to double the drilling campaign over the coming months.

CRR shares were trading 4.35 per cent lower at 4.4 cents at 10:37 am AEST.
