Critical Resources (CRR) has unearthed a further 17.5 metres of visual spodumene-bearing pegmatite at its Mavis Lake lithium project in Ontario, Canada.

Following on from its latest results of up to 23.1 metres of visual spodumene, the company encountered a second bout of thick, visual spodumene in two new drill holes.

Hole 14 delivered 17.5 metres of around 18 per cent silvery-white, fine to large spodumene laths hosted from 143.2 to 160.7 metres of pegmatite, including 0.4 metres interval of around 50 per cent spodumene.

Critical Resources Managing Director Alex Biggs said it’s pleasing to see further significant intercepts along strike.

“These results follow on from our recent 23.1 metre interception in hole 13 and continues to re-enforce the potential prospectively at Mavis Lake,” Mr Biggs said.

“We are increasingly excited with what the rest of the drill program will uncover, and we look forward to updating our shareholders as this drill program continues.”

Of the 15 holes drilled by the company at Mavis Lake, 14 have intersected spodumene-bearing pegmatite mineralisation.

Critical Resource said following its 5000-metre drill program, 28 new targets have been identified, including 11 high priority targets. Work has already commenced to extend the drilling to a 10,000 metre program.

Samples and core from completed drill holes have been sent for analysis.
