Dart Mining (DTM) is progressing diamond drilling at the Granite Flat copper-gold porphyry project in northeast Victoria.

The company engaged Territory Drilling to drill three deep diamond holes, for 1200 metres.

The holes are each being drilled to a depth of 300 to 450 metres below surface to test induced polarisation (IP) targets that were found during geophysical work last year.

Drilling is well underway and currently at the 170-metre mark within hole EMDDH006 — the first of the three holes testing the IP targets.

The upper 100 metres of EMDDH006 reportedly show minor, thin zones of potassic alteration and multiple sericite altered zones associated with laminated quartz veins.

Deeper in the hole, there’s a transition to several zones of strong phyllic alteration bearing fine, disseminated chalcopyrite and molybdenite-rich silica-sulphide veins.

Once EMDDH006 has been completed, Territory Drilling will progress the other two holes.

Dart Mining is also undertaking a separate diamond drilling program at Granite Flat with the first four holes targeting vein-style silica-sulphide mineralisation and following up on previous intersections.

Significant intercepts of copper, silver and gold have been received so far.

A fifth hole was drilled to test a soil copper-gold anomaly coincident with a small, shallow IP anomaly. Early logging has identified potassic and phyllic alteration zones with minor intervals of disseminated sulphide veins. Results from the fifth hole are expected in coming weeks.

Dart ended the day 1.18 per cent in the green and closed at 8.6 cents.
