DiscovEx Resources (DCX) has appointed a new leader after its current Managing Director, Bradley Drabsch, resigned from his position.

Bradley joined the company in December 2019, and led DiscovEx through its restructuring process. During his time as Managing Director, he helped the company to refocus on greenfields gold exploration in Western Australia.

Bradley decided to step down from his role as a result of family circumstances, which have been complicated by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Despite his resignation, Bradley will remain closely involved with the company, as a Senior Technical Advisor.

DiscovEx Resources has appointed experienced geologist Toby Wellman as the company’s new Managing Director, as of April 23. Like his predecessor, Toby joined DiscovEx in December 2019, and was involved in the restructure and refocus of the company.

DiscovEx’ Board of Directors has unanimously supported his elevation from Technical Director to Managing Director. In his new role, Toby will lead the company’s exploration efforts at its current project portfolio, including its recently acquired Sylvania Project in WA’s Pilbara region.

Toby will receive an annual salary of $220,000, plus statutory superannuation and customary leave provisions.

DiscovEx’s Chair, Heath Hellewell, thanked Bradley for his efforts over the past 18 months, and welcomed Toby to his new role as the company’s Managing Director.

“It is sad to see Brad have to depart the MD role, but the Board understands his commitment to his family and the need for him to step aside,” he said.

“As an executive team, Brad and Toby have both set the course of the company in train for exploration success, which is why the Board keenly welcomes the elevation of Toby into the MD role and Brad’s desire to stay heavily involved with the company in a technical capacity,” he added.

DiscovEx Resources is in the grey, trading at 0.7 cents per share at 12:51 pm AEST.
