Duketon Mining (DKM) has begun an exploration program at its namesake project in Laverton, Western Australia.

Ground electromagnetic (EM) surveys have begun in the area 20 kilometres north of the Rosie and C2 deposits.

The surveys have been designed to confirm a number of pre-existing EM anomalies in preparation for drill testing and to survey the areas that have historically had no previous EM surveying.

A reverse circulation (RC) drill rig has arrived on site with drilling expected to begin this week.

The RC drilling will focus on testing existing targets and targets generated from the EM survey. Infill and extensional drilling will also be undertaken at Rosie and C2.

Drilling will then be carried out to test the anticipated conductor anomalies generated from the ground surveys.

Duketon has ended the day one per cent in the green, with shares trading at 50.5 cents in a $61.01 million market cap.
