Eagle Mountain Mining (EM2) has received the highest grades ever recorded at the Oracle Ridge Copper Mine in Arizona.

The WT-21-06 hole was drilled in the southern part of the mine to follow up on the discovery of a high-grade breccia zone in WT-20-10.

The drill hole intersected 12.7 metres at 3.96 per cent copper, 49.1g/t silver and 1.38g/t gold from 363.1 metres in the Leatherwood contact which is 30 metres northeast of WT-20-10.

A narrower zone within this interval returned 0.4 metres at 34.4 per cent copper, 367g/t silver and 26.2g/t gold — being the highest-grade assay ever recorded at the mine.

Hole WT-21-04 was drilled at the northern end of the mine and targeted the extension to historical mineralisation.

Results include 14 metres at 2.1 per cent copper and 22.6g/t silver and 0.05g/t gold from 275 metres including 7.7 metres at 3.16 per cent copper and 31.4g/t silver.

Pleasingly, this hole extended the historical mineralisation 60 metres to the north.

“We are thrilled by the outstanding grades but also extremely pleased by the thickness of the mineralised zone at the Leatherwood contact. The intersection in [these] holes confirms the potential of the Leatherwood contact to deliver substantial additional resources at Oracle Ridge,” CEO Tim Mason said.

Eagle Mountain Mining is continuing diamond drilling at the mine to assess further extensions and potentially enhance the mineral resource.

While drilling continues, earthmoving contractors will aim to refurbish and improve historical pads and access tracks to facilitate safer drilling in the southern part of the mine. Drilling in this portion of the mine will test mineralised areas that haven’t been tested since the 1970s.

Company shares are up 35.5 per cent and are trading at 63 cents at 1:16 pm AEDT.
