Elementos (ELT) has intersected additional tin mineralisation at its Oropesa project in Spain.

The first hole completed in the tin explorers nine-hole infill drilling campaign targeted the intersection of two previously interpreted controlling structures.

It returned up to 0.34 per cent tin over 37.9 metres from 59.3 metres downhole, and a narrower intercept of 9.6 metres at 0.2 per cent tin was also returned from 109.3 metres downhole.

Both intersections were returned from the margins of the current geological resource, which Elementos said confirms the continuity of the mineralisation.

Additionally, the zone of mineralisation was reportedly “much broader” than the company expected through its modelling.

Through this program, the company is hoping to upgrade the inferred mineral resource and as such, Managing Director Joe David said intersecting a broader zone of mineralisation than currently modelled is an encouraging start.

Elementos shares were trading grey at 37 cents at 10:42 am AEST.
