Emu (EMU) has reported high-grade gold intercepts from its Badja project near Yalgoo in Western Australia.

The results come from the company’s stage three drilling campaign, which completed reverse circulation and aircore drilling.

The best result came from the Gnaws Nest mine with one hole recording seven metres at 10.12 grams per tonne (g/t) of from 131 metres including one metres at 40.38 g/t from 131 metres.

The assays confirm high-grade gold continuity in the north-plunging ore shoot zone within the mine.

Another significant result came from the Flying Emu prospect with nine metres at 3.44 g/t of gold from 39 metres, including two metres at 10.14 g/t of gold from 39 metres.

Further samples are currently being processed, with results to be received over the next ten weeks.

Shares were trading 6.67 per cent higher at 1.6 cents each at market close.
