$11.25m ‘Tudor Castle’ in St Kilda West A Highlight of a COVID-19 Impacted Week in Property

Auction volumes and clearance rates dipped last week as uncertainty amid COVID-19 cases rising and lockdowns continued, but that didn’t stop some big property purchases, according to CoreLogic data.

Around the capital cities, 2177 homes went to auction to the week ending July 4, with a 73.6 per cent clearance rate.

One market starting to return to ‘business as usual’ in Melbourne, with 1067 auctions and a preliminary clearance rate of 75.9 per cent. It was also where the highest sale took place across the country last week.
