A Look Inside the 35m Vanquish VQ115 Veloce

Most luxury superyachts have vast spaces and ample room for various activities, adventures and social celebrations, but all that comfort comes at a hefty price, speed.

Superyachts are multi-level behemoths brimming with amenities and marine-architectural features that mean their top speed is limited.

Dutch firm Vanquish Yachts have been building, in consultation with a regular customer, the VQ115 Veloce.

It will be the fastest aluminium superyacht ever powered by a conventional, albeit cutting edge, Diesel engine.

The 35m yacht, still being built, will be capable of 50+ knots of hull speed when it is delivered to the Hamptons this year.

The naval architecture is by Netherlands Studio Delta and the exterior of the superyacht was conceptualised by Guido de Groot and his team to be fast and sophisticated.

With a range of 600 nautical miles when running on one or two engines, you will never be too far from a refuelling point and there will be very few destinations that are out of reach.

A comparatively narrow beam of 6.7 meters is what gives the VQ115 Veloce its incredible top speed and the addition of stabilisers mean power-boat technology is being used for superyacht comfort.

A trio of MTU-Rolls-Royce 2650 engines power the triple-deck vessel, backed up by surface drives to help this speedy ship achieve 51 knots at full speed.

There is space in the tender garage for two other watercraft, the larger VQ16 Sports Line and a smaller VQ11 Water Scooter and a saltwater spa under the sundeck at the fore.

The boat has space to sleep eight people comfortably with the master suite and VIP guest cabin both equipped with ensuites as well as berths for four crew members.

All the comforts of a luxury home have been added to this majestic yacht, the main deck accessing the saloon, an office, a pantry, cocktail bar, day head, and an open-air lounge.

The substantial galley downstairs is designed to remind of a country kitchen and there is also a media room on the lower deck with a large screen and high-end integrated sound system.

The aft will include a multifunction hydraulic platform, passerelle and ladder to access the water, the platform functioning as a leisure playground with a live bait tank, paddleboards, sea bobs and other toys.
