Australian Fashion Week 2021: The Best Street Style Looks

While we have patiently waited two years for Australia Fashion Week to return, thanks to COVID cancelling our 2020 shows, the anticipation is higher than ever and our most-loved fashion designers have not held anything back. Alice McCall, Romance Was Born and Ginger and Smart all showcased some of the boldest looks and colours so far – and, after a year of Netflix and loungewear, it seems everyone can’t wait to get dressed up again and go to another bodacious party.

While vibrant colourful coordinates, ’60s and ’70s-inspired patterns and silhouettes with psychedelic prints in bubblegum bottoms, finished off with Jackie Kennedy-approved buttons were the highlights from the Alice McCall show – the street style also didn’t disappoint.

So far, this year it’s all about minimalism. Sleek lines and even sleeker accessories. From wild silhouettes to smart oversized blazers worn with sleeked-back hair-do’s and bold lips. Coats of all cuts were spotted on most, textural knitwear looked to be equally abundant and gentle colours were everywhere to be seen.
