Balmain Creative Director Ventures into TV with Drama Series, Fracture

Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousteing has teamed up with Channel 4 to bring a five-episode drama series called Fracture.

Starring singer-songwriter Jesse Jo Stark and Tommy Dorfman from 13 Reasons Why, Fracture is centred around Stark’s character, Mya who finds herself in a creative slump while holed up in a shabby-chic motel in LA. Riverdale’s Charles Melton and Ajani Russell from Skate Kitchen also star in this recently released mini-series.

With Rousteing overseeing the wardrobe of this drama series, expect to see plenty of pieces from Balmain’s Fall 2021 collection in each eight-minute episode.

In an interview with Vogue, Rousteing said he let the actors choose what they wanted to wear from the French fashion house’s collection.

We sent things with little guidelines in advance to make sure that they felt confident in everything. There’s a strong sense of freedom and adventure that ties the collection in with the series.

Olivier Rousteing, creative director of Balmain told Vogue

Fracture was released earlier this month and can be watched on Balmain’s site or through Channel 4. All of the show’s looks, which features streetwear inspired jumpsuits, bomber jackets and lots of khaki, can be shopped directly through Balmain.
