Cartier To Open New Flagship Store in Sydney

Cartier has signed a major lease in Sydney’s CBD as part of a plan to build a new two-level flagship store.

Set to stand on 388 George Street with the likes of Fendi and Seiko, the new Cartier store will be the French luxury brand’s flagship brick and mortar store for Oceania.

Featuring a curved glass-like façade, the sleek Sydney store will also act as a canvas for an art installation by Melbourne artist, Paul Milinski titled ‘The Australian Dreamscapes’ until the boutique opens.

The new Oceania flagship will merge Parisian elegance whilst paying tribute to Australia’s rich culture and natural beauty, featuring the savoir faire and style Cartier is renowned for around the world.

Alban du Mesnil, MD of Cartier Oceania, told Inside Retail

Situated on the corner of King Street and George Street, the store will cover 783 square metres and sit opposite of the Louis Vuitton store.

The addition of Cartier to George Street, which is Sydney’s original high street, is yet another premier luxury brand that is solidifying George Street as a luxury precinct.

The Cartier store is set to open around March 2022.
