Italian influencer, fashion blogger and entrepreneur, Chiara Ferragni is one of the highest paid fashion influencers in the world. The daughter of Marco Ferrangi and fashion house director, Marina Di Guardo, Chiara Ferragni launched her fashion blog, The Blonde Salad, back in 2009 when she was still studying international law at Bocconi University in Milan. Since then, Ferragni has turned the blog into a global retail business and built an Instagram following of over 23.4 million people.
Ferragni’s large following means that the fashion influencer can make around $74,000 per Instagram post. This revenue can come from advertisers, brand sponsorships and collaborations with designer brands, including Guess, Steve Madden, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Chanel, Gucci, and Tommy Hilfiger. But Ferragni’s success isn’t just confined to social media. In 2013, Ferragni launched her own footwear line with Luisa Via Roma. Boasting four flagship stores, the Chiara Ferragni Collection has since expanded into a clothing, accessories and children’s wear line.
Millions are fascinated by Ferragni’s lavish lifestyle and exceptional fashion taste. In 2018, Ferragni married Italian rapper Federico Leonardo “Fedez” Lucia in an extravagant outdoor ceremony in Sicily, where she wore three custom-made dresses by Dior. Her dedicated followers were able to watch the wedding unfold over their Instagram feed in the days and weeks after.
As the first blogger to have ever landed a Vogue cover, it’s no doubt that Ferragni has achieved monumental success in the fashion world. In 2015, the influencer was named in the Forbes 30 under 30 list and became the European ambassador of Amazon Fashion, and face of its Spring 2016 collection. With her first documentary currently streaming on Amazon Prime, and adding her adventures in new parenthood to her Instagram, Ferragni’s success is only growing from here.
