Not many real estate agents can call the suburb they specialise in selling their home. But Jody Fewster, owner and director of Ray White Cottesloe Mosman Park, has proudly lived in the Western Suburbs for most of her life.

In fact, it was her intimate knowledge of this area that led to her transition into real estate in the first place.

I was on my way back to the corporate world but didn’t want to live on a plane or manage 300 people, so I was looking for a transition job.

My husband and I had been buying renovating and selling for the ten years before so I knew Peppermint Grove and Mosman Park property prices and characteristics so it seemed like an easy, flexible way back into the work force.

It was a transition that paid off. Now, Jody boasts multiple awards from REIWA, something she considers a career highlight.

I am very proud of winning multiple awards at REIWA and also proud to be Chairman’s Elite performer in the Ray White Group.

The secret, she believes, to her success in the field is down to the savvy business skills she’s picked up throughout her accomplished career, combined with good old-fashioned hard work.

I have a depth and breadth of business management and sales experience across multiple industries that allow to me to negotiate and achieve great results for my sellers.

Hard work, a caring attitude for your clients and great negotiating skills plus the technical savvy to wade through the myriad of technical apps available to agents in today’s marketplace [are what it takes to succeed in this industry].

Throughout her career as a real estate agent, Jody has been able to exceed the expectations of not only her clients but also that of other agents.

I loved selling a Victoria Avenue, Dalkeith riverfront home for sellers who had been on the market with another agent for two years.

I received five written offers and got more than other agents said I would and had really happy sellers who have become great friends of mine. All around it was a wonderful experience that makes me smile every time I think it.

When she isn’t working seven days a week, catch Jody enjoying a delicious meal with her family or scuba diving.

The funny thing is if you are an A type personality the flexibility real estate offers really just means you can work 7 days a week!
