Cruise With the Elite in the 2021 Cadillac Escalade

An iconic nameplate in the U.S., you may recognise the large, luxurious SUV as a favourite with celebrities and politicians alike. As a regular feature in music videos and political parades, the full-size American SUV brings a bold look, boastful technology and comfortable cruising. While the Cadillac Escalade has never reached Australian shores, that may change with their latest edition, the new 2021 Cadillac Escalade. Either way here’s a look at the exclusive cruiser’s popularity as a luxury ride.

2021 Cadillac Escalade Release

First unveiled in lavish style at an event in Los Angeles, it’s clear the new 2021 luxury SUV, still holds the same appeal as its predecessors. A product of parent company General Motors, the fifth-generation Cadillac Escalade, may bare the name but has undergone a large overhaul. The comprehensive makeover includes an upgraded style, a modern engine, a new chassis, a new rear suspension and the latest internal technology.

The Engine

The first Escalade car offering a turbo-diesel version, the engine definitely doesn’t lack power. The 3.0-litre turbo-diesel inline-six will give you 207kW of grunt. The 6.2-litre V8 will take that up to 313kW, showing the 2021 Cadillac Escalade still produces the potency it’s known for. A 10-speed automatic transmission is paired with both engines for a smooth ride.

The Technology

Inside it’s an innovative haven. You can sit back and enjoy with 38 inches of total screen space thanks to the industry’s first curved OLED display. Sharper than a 4K TV, the cutting-edge technology rivals anything ever fitted to a car. Super cruise is Cadillacs new advanced cruise control enabling the car to assist you when needed. There’s almost too much tech to name. You also get a surreal 19-speaker sound system, rear-seat entertainment, an augmented-reality navigation system and even a refrigerator with freezer mode. You’ll be forgiven for forgetting you’re driving a car.

The Interior

On the inside, it’s all about space and comfort. The large SUV remains the perfect luxury cruiser for the whole family. Heated seats, 121 cubic feet of luggage space and an ultra view sunroof, make it feel more like a plane than a car. The inside decor is attractive, the leather is soft and comfortable and the dashboard is stylish and well designed. It’s everything you would expect from a Cadillac Escalade, yet so much more.

The Exterior

The always-stylish Escalade still looks as good as ever. There are certainly some upgraded details on the 2021 version but the same neat, iconic design the Escalade is known for is still there. This car is simply a stand-out. Its brash presence commands attention wherever it goes yet it still feels agile in smaller settings. The 2021 Cadillac Escalade, is the largest they’ve ever made with more legroom and a lower ride height; room for the whole entourage.
