Fringe World 2022: Fringe Festival Arrives at Camelot in Perth

It’s that time of the year again in Perth. Hosted from January 14 to February 13, FRINGE WORLD is painting the town pink once more as it returns to bring hundreds of events to the venues across Perth for 2022. This includes local theatre and events space, Camelot. Ushering in the new year with seven Fringe shows to choose from, Camelot will be hosting cabaret and comedy, world music, youth theatre and gospel events to enjoy.


Fusing a quiz night, comedy circus and cabaret, Quizaret is set to be a night of laughs, trivia and prizes. Hosted on January 21, 22, 28 and 29, the interactive event is created and hosted by Beck Wilson and Scott Chocolate and will feature special guests each night. As for the prize, the lucky winners will go on to win the Golden Pencil.



Bringing rhythm, percussion and emotion is Perth-based multi-cultural Flamenco group, La Pandilla Flamenca. ¡el FLAMENCO! is set to perform the art of Flamenco on February 4 and 5 at Camelot.

If Persian-Middle Eastern music is your jam, be sure to check out Asha, an acoustic ensemble bringing a fusion of genres together with a mix of instruments from the East and West. Presented by Dr. Pouran Hudson, Asha will be performing at the Camelot on January 29.



Presented by Perth-based IntotheMask Theatre and Education, Dormiveglia follows Oli as she navigates a dream that starts to unravel itself as more and more complicated than she first believed. Dormiveglia will be performed on February 3, 4 and 5.


Desia Afrosoul

Bringing fusion jazz, African sounds and a story from one motherland to another, singer and rapper Drea will be bringing Desia Afrosoul to the Camelot on February 9.


After The Rain – Providence Gospel Choir

Presented by Chapple Family Trust, the Providence Gospel Choir is returning for another round of uplifting gospel music this FRINGE WORLD season. Titled, After The Rain, the choir will be singing their hearts out and telling the stories behind the songs at Camelot on January 28 and 29.

It’s About Time

Presented by Michael Bresnahan, It’s About Time is described as an amusing and engrossing look at our fascination with time. This theatre performance will be hosted at Camelot on February 10, 11 and 12.
