Here’s a Look at the Tiffany & Co Holiday Advent Calendar 2021

By now we know the hottest luxury holiday gift of 2021 is the high-end advent calendar. And recently Tiffany & Co. revealed it’s creative approach version of the annual release honouring one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, Jean-Michel Basquiat.

Presenting 24 luxury gifts for the season, in true Tiffany style its less an advent calendar and more of a holiday cabinet. Handcrafted from white oak in Tiffany & Co’s flagship home of New York, the four-foot cabinet is covered in a reproduction of Jean-Michel Basquiat’s seldom-seen artwork, Equals Pi (1982).

As a nod to the late artist’s style known for painting on everyday objects, Tiffany’s calendar doors are the canvas for the recreated painting. It continues the brand’s modern artistic direction following Daniel Arsham reimagining the classic Tiffany & Co. box earlier this year.

Inside, 24 boxes shine in the brand’s signature baby blue, each labelled with custom-numbered hangtags. While a full list of contents inside the 2021 advent calendar remains a mystery, Tiffany says it “can be filled with extraordinary jewellery including designs from Tiffany HardWear, Tiffany T1 and Elsa Peretti.”

If it’s anything to go by, previous years slightly smaller iterations have included luxury items such as 18K gold Tiffany T True bracelet, 18K rose gold and diamonds Tiffany HardWear link bracelet, 18K rose gold Tiffany T smile pendant and 18K Tiffany HardWear triple drop earrings.

The 2021 Tiffany & Co. holiday advent calendar is reportedly going to sell for AU$200,000. That’s a slight increase on its 2019 version which sold for over A$150,000.

If you’re looking for other luxury advent calendars this year, Chanel also revealed its first advent calendar in celebration of 100 years of the iconic N°5 scent.
