High Heels: YSL Classics To Step Out In Style

Whether it’s an elegant pump, bold platform or daring stiletto, high heels have long emphasised a woman’s femininity and power. From Catherine Deneuve’s 1965 low set heels in Belle de Jour to the physics-defying heel-less heel of 2017, when it comes to shoes, Saint Laurent has always been ahead of the game. These are the YSL styles, bound to stand the test of time.

Opyum Pumps

First debuted at Paris Fashion Week in 2017, the Opyum Pumps are one of Saint Laurent’s most revolutionary designs. With its elongating details and pointed-toe, this YSL heel gracefully highlights the natural arch of a woman’s foot. The sophisticated pump balances on the structured YSL initialled heel to create a dazzling suspended effect. While the Opyum design is now available in a variety of styles including slingback and heeled boots, we like the elegant original model. The Opyum pumps are available in gold-toned, silver-toned and black heel varieties.

Tribute Platform Sandals

Saint Laurent’s Tribute heels are one of the most popular YSL heel designs of all time. With it’s precise stiletto, bold bevelled platform and thick strappy sandal design, the heel is both a powerful and feminine shoe. This may be the reason the shoe is favoured among strong female celebrities, including Tilda Swinton, Julia Roberts, Kylie Minogue and Kate Moss. Available in round toe court and sandal designs, the shoe comes in a variety of smooth and patent leather colours.

Anais Bow Pumps

These pretty leather pumps are inspired by the YSL fashion archives. Reminiscent of Catherine Deneuve’s 1965 low set YSL heels in Belle de Jour, the Anais pumps are designed with distinctive vintage elements. The shoe’s delicate kitten heel and classy bow detail evoke the styles of the 1950s and 1960s. But what is old is new again, with American model, Hailey Bieber, sporting the pumps in a shoot last October. Available in three classic colours, the Anais pumps come in a classy slingback style as well.
