Historic Paris Jewellery House Pushes the Boundaries with Holographic Collection

Shimmering in the light, reflecting all the colours of the rainbow in a dazzling exhibition of artisan-created holographic jewellery, Boucheron’s Carte Blanche High Jewellery Holographique Collection is a triumphant progression from traditional High Jewellery to something a little more futuristic.

In order to create the rainbow-reflective precious stones used in the collection, Boucheron worked with a company that makes reflective markers and lines on airport runways and the result is a hypnotising dance of colour, featuring in equally beautiful and avante-garde necklaces, brooches and rings.

The company experimented with spraying molten titanium and silver onto ceramic and rock crystal to create holographic jewellery and after over 150 trials achieved the desired finish.

I’m used to knowing what the result of a process will be, but with this collection, I had to let go and the materials led the way

Boucheron Creative Director Claire Choisne

The collection is comprised of nine sets of jewellery, rings, earrings, brooches, necklaces, bracelets and cuffs, with 25 unique pieces to buy from the collection, an enquiry must be made directly with Boucheron about price and selection.

The striking “Holographique” necklace, with a 20.21-carat yellow sapphire at the centre, is the “shining star” of the collection, crafted from fine strips of crystal the company says the piece celebrates the magic of colour in perpetual motion.
