Kempinski Hotels to Open First Floating Resort in Dubai

Arrive at your hotel suite by speedboat at Kempinski’s upcoming floating resort in Dubai.

Slated to open in 2023, the Kempinski Floating Palace will be the first of its kind. Anchored off of Jumeirah Beach Road, the incredible floating hotel will feature 156 rooms and suites and accompany 12 floating luxury villas which will be partly for sale but also available to rent by the hotel guests.

Each luxury floating houseboat will feature a roof terrace, smart home technology and an infinity pool. The villas will also be able to cruise at a maximum speed of six nautical miles, meaning guests can sail to other anchorages in Dubai.

Connected by a glass pyramid, the Floating Palace managed by Kempinski Hotels will offer exclusive gourmet restaurants, bars, a spa, pools and boutiques and will be connected by a floating helipad and plenty of yacht parking so guests can sail into the resort.

We are delighted to be able to offer our guests in Dubai such a first experience from 2023 onwards, combining the destination’s reputation as a high-tech city with the timeless European elegance of Kempinski Hotels.

The project will be completed by developers, Seagate Shipyard. In a press release, Mr. Mohamed El Bahrawy, CEO and founder of Seagate Shipyard, said that they are confident that the Floating Palace will be one of the top tourist attractions in Dubai.

“It will undoubtedly occupy an iconic position among floating hotels all over the world,” he said.
