La Dolce Suite: Pinpoint the Perfect Luxury Hotel in Perth

We don’t need an excuse to indulge in a luxury hotel stay but not being able to travel overseas is a pretty good one. Luckily for Perth residents, there seems to be a new boutique hotel popping up somewhere around the city every month. We’ve put together a guide to some of our favourite luxury hotels to treat yourself to when you’re in need of a staycation in Perth.

COMO The Treasury

Housed within Perth’s stunning 19th century State Buildings, COMO The Treasury is the epitome of luxury. Each of the hotel’s 48 rooms features king-sized beds, deep form duo bathtubs, heated flooring and oversized windows that flood the room with natural light. If you aren’t sure which of the stylish rooms to pick, we suggest staying in one of the Heritage Balcony rooms with east-facing french doors leading out to a private balcony overlooking the historic Cathedral Square. While you’re there, make sure that you indulge at the COMO Shambhala spa and finish your stay with dinner and drinks at one of the State Building’s gourmet restaurants.

Warders Hotel

Warders Hotel is a recent and much-welcome addition to Fremantle. Taking over the old limestone cottages that were once part of the Fremantle Warder’s homes, the boutique hotel offers historic rooms with distinct colonial character details and modern features. With the hotel’s vibrant Emily Taylor restaurant located next door, the bustling Fremantle Markets only a skip away and the rest of Fremantle to explore at your leisure, Warders Hotel may be a new local favourite.

Samphire Rottnest

Only a 25-minute ferry ride from Perth, Rottnest Island is the ultimate staycation and the island’s newest hotel simply oozes luxury. With its undestated coastal interiors, solar-heated outdoor pool and lounge bar overlooking the beach, Samphire is not to be missed. We particularly love the beachfront rooms that let you catch the sunset from your own private terrace and soak in the oversized bathtub after a long day in the sun. While the hotel might tempt you to stay inside, you have the entire island to explore when you feel like venturing out.

The Ritz-Carlton

The Ritz-Carlton is no doubt Perth’s current it-hotel. Sparkling against the city skyline and offering views across Elizabeth Quay, the hotel not only features luxurious rooms and suites but a river-view infinity pool, hotel spa, rooftop bar and a number of gourmet restaurants. The rooms are breathtaking with floor-to-ceiling windows, plushy king-sized beds and spacious bathrooms with dual vanity and standalone tubs. We guarantee that you’re going to want to book this Perth staycation for more than one night.

QT Hotel

QT Hotel is known for its indulgently oversized bathtubs and glamorous decor. With rooms that highlight local jarrah timber, rich velvet and polished brass, you will relax in dark stone bathrooms and sink into the gorgeous signature QT Dream Beds. While you won’t find many reasons to leave the room, the hotel does have a pretty impressive rooftop bar and its beloved Santini Bar and Grill makes a delicious breakfast that can cure any hangover.

If you want to truly escape then you need to lose yourself in the Crown Resorts complex. With three Crown hotels to choose from, Crown Towers is the newest and most luxurious. Rooms are styled with stunning neutral decor and luxury furnishings, along with the latest touch screen technology and oversized baths. With access to the hotel’s sprawling outdoor pool complex, the exclusive Crystal Club, the opulent Crown Spa and the many fine-dining restaurants and bars, this staycation is guaranteed to feel more like a vacation than you expect.
