Last Ever Lamborghini Aventador Going to Auction Alongside a 1:1 NFT

RM Sotheby’s is set to auction the last Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae Coupé ever produced alongside a one-of-one digital companion – an exclusive NFT created by digital artist Krista Kim and DJ Steve Aoki.

The digital token is the world’s first NFT to ever be auctioned alongside a physical supercar with the sale taking place from 19th to 21st of April.

The winning bidder will take home the historically significant V-12 supercar, the most powerful Aventador ever made, the Automobili Lamborghini NFT crafted by the two iconic modern artists and a string of VIP utilities.

The three-way collaboration will also involve global brand storytelling agency INVNT Group which helps innovative brands impact audiences worldwide.

Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman, and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini said this collaboration with ‘outstanding creative minds’ is ‘special’.

Lamborghini and the NFT community fit together very well… We are both young-spirited innovators, looking out for unexpected projects and technological solutions. This project is very special for us as it is a true first, a path nobody has ever taken; to collaborate with such outstanding creative minds makes it all the more special.

Krista Kim, the founder of the art movement Techism promotes the merging of technology and art and designed the artwork for the NFT as well as parts of the livery and interior trim of the physical Aventador.

World-famous musical artist, Steve Aoki created a bespoke track to accompany the NFT, an exclusive soundtrack for the car and consulted on the design of both.

Every design element of this car is purposeful. It truly has its own story, and therefore I wanted my music track to reflect its soulful energy – the vibe, the spirit and the power.

Other design details of the car also signify the exclusive collaboration including a custom orange embroidered logo on the rear bench.

The buyer of the one-of-a-kind car and NFT combo will also gain access to a slew of VIP benefits – exclusive virtual previews of future limited edition Lamborghini models, a private tour of the Museo Lamborghini, and a virtual ‘Meet & Greet’ with Steve Aoki and Krista Kim.

As Lamborghini moves to electrify its future lineup, the Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae becomes the grand conclusion of the legendary Aventador lineage and its traditional V12 combustion engine.

While the final expression of the most powerful model in the family has left its mark on the supercar world over the past decade, Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann recently announced the company’s future is electric.

The car will be delivered to the buyer in September 2022, and if the NFT is sold for over €5 million, Lamborghini plans to hold a special ‘delivery celebration’ for the buyer.
