Make You: Alicia Keys Debuts New Colour Collection

Singer-songwriter Alicia Keys famously announced in 2016 that she was swearing off makeup. The reason? She had become addicted to makeup and no longer felt comfortable without it. Since that fateful day Alicia Keys has been defining her own beauty standards.

And last Monday she stepped out for the Met Gala with a pared back makeup look to announce the debut of her makeup collection: Make You.

Keys Soulcare, who boasts Alicia Keys as co-founder, launched in 2020 with an initial three-piece offering (a candle, a face roller, and a moisturiser) before expanding its collection to include cleansers, toners, an assortment of balms and an award-winning body oil. Now, it’s entering the colour game too.

Make You is designed to unlock the wearer’s individual beauty with its colour-skincare hybrid range. Speaking on her Instagram stories as she got glammed for the Met Gala, Keys explained that the range is “good for your skin, but it also has this little pop of buildable colour, so you can use a little or you can use a lot.”

As for the name?

We call it ‘Make You,’ because it’s your choice how you want to vibe and how you want to look

The Colour Care range includes a cheek tint, lip balm, brow gel, illuminating primer serum and complexion brush with prices ranging between A$25 and A$36.
