Home to lush rainforest and a beautiful wide-open stretch of coastline, residents of Kewarra Beach enjoy some of the best sunrise views in the country and the median house price currently sits at A$530,000. The area has seen steady growth over the last 10 years, with an average annual growth of around 3.4 per cent.

When renowned British architect Andy Hall started the design for ‘Astoria House’ back in 2015, he was creating something never seen before on the gorgeous beaches of north-east Queensland. Hall takes pride in the sourcing of quality materials to give every detail of the house a story; his objective for the standard of craftsmanship was excellence from day one.

The architecture is fresh and innovative, with a focus on comfort. The absolute beachfront residence makes amazing use of a lush 1,652 square metre block and is complemented by its breathtaking surroundings.

With large format granite tile flooring underfoot, you will notice the luxe granite bench tops in the kitchen, bathroom and bar, plus up-to-date Smeg appliances in the kitchen. Slate tiles in the bathroom add gorgeous texture, while environmentally-friendly solid bamboo floors upstairs add to the home’s sustainability score.

Astoria House is heavily environmentally focused and the inclusion of 68 solar panels at 20 kilowatts reduces electricity consumption by 85 per cent. The solar panels also provide hot water, and storage tanks mean you will be able to capture crystal clear rainwater for drinking and bathing.

The five enormous bedrooms are located upstairs, each with its own gorgeous ensuite, while downstairs is dominated by interconnected relaxing spaces and social areas. Massive glass walls are carefully positioned to allow for a deeper connection between residents and their natural surroundings, but not at the sacrifice of privacy.

This exceptional residence is positioned back from the road and with views of the glistening Pacific Ocean and Double Island, off Palm Cove, the location could not be better. The beachside bars and restaurants nearby often host live music and the nearby Kewarra Beach Resort bar is particularly popular.
