Salvatore Ferragamo has a New Creative Director

At just 26 years old, Maximilian Davis is Salvatore Ferragamo’s new Creative Director.

Davis will be succeeding footwear designer Paul Andrews, who left the 95-year old luxury Italian fashion house last year.

Based in London, Davis completed his studies at the London College of Fashion and launched his own fashion label just two years ago with a collection that celebrates his Trinidadian and Jamaican roots. Having worked under designers like Wales Bonner and Supriya Lele, Davis’s own designs have been worn by everyone from Kim Kardashian to Dua Lipa, with his label making him a semi-finalist in this year’s LVMH prize.

Marco Gobbetti, Chief Executive Officer at Ferragamo said:

I am delighted to welcome Maximilian at the House of Ferragamo. The clarity of his vision together with the level of execution and his powerful aesthetic make him one of the most brilliant talents of his generation. His work is defined by elegance, refined sensuality, and constant commitment to quality. Through his lens of contemporary sensibility, he will write a new, exciting chapter for this house built on a heritage of creativity, craftsmanship, sophistication, and outstanding human values

The news comes just months after the Ferragamo brought on Marco Gobbetti as their new CEO, with Davis officially starting his role at Ferragamo this week.
