Season of the Giants: Experience Whale Watching in Perth this Winter

Every year, thousands of humpback whales undertake an epic migration journey from the freezing waters of Antarctica towards the North West of Western Australia to breed. The whales make their return journey with their newborn calfs in tow, travelling past Perth and the South West, and giving us the chance to get up close and personal with the magnificent creatures. Rottnest Fast Ferries’s two-hour whale watching cruise operates in the waters off Hillary’s Boat Harbour between August and December every year. With an on-board marine biologist from AQWA, three spacious viewing areas and a large open deck, you will be given to best chance to see and learn about the majestic humpback whales. The boat is equipped with an on-board bar, snack facilities and toilets, with the company offering courtesy coach pick up from selected locations around Perth. This year, tours will be running between September and November.

Running for three to four hours, you can choose between jumping on a public tour or organising a charter for your private or corporate event.
